Photography has been my hobby since I got my first camera in 1960. It used 120 roll film. I had my own home darkroom, and then shot for my high school and college yearbooks; which then gave me access to their darkrooms. Although I don't actively market my work, it has been published in books, newspapers, magazines, brochures, on the web, and in a calendar. The highest photography accolade I've received is Image of the Year, from the New England Camera Council. I most enjoy photographing wildlife, action, landscapes, and macro.
I currently shoot digital with Sony and Nikon equipment, although I have been in the Yashica, Pentax, Olympus, and Nikon film camps; and also in the Canon, Panasonic, and Olympus digital camps in the past. Before digital, I also shot underwater with a Nikonos and a housed SLR. I have extensive macro equipment and two microscopes outfitted for photography, and have also done astro-photography and scanning electron microscopy.
Although I am retired now, my professional career began with electrical engineering degrees from MIT, and included founding 10 high-technology companies.
