As I started photography in the middle of the 80's, there was nothing like a digital revolution.

So my first camera was a pure mechanical SLR and I firstly had to understand how the shutter, the aperture and the ISO speed work together to manage some proper pictures.

 

Today that matter has become much easier and I can focus more at the motive itself and the art work. ;-)

 

However, photography is just a hobby of mine and the time I can spend is limited.

No problem. The journey is the reward!

 

For me, it is wonderful to share my work in a community like this and to get the chance to see the world through your eyes. I'm happy about your remarks and critiques about my photos and I'm gladly commenting on your pictures.

Ich habe die Fotografie zu meinem Hobby gemacht, als die digitale Revolution noch in weiter Ferne lag. So etwa Mitte der 80er Jahre.

 

Beginnend mit einer rein mechanischen Spiegelreflexkamera wollte ich verstehen lernen, wie Blende, Verschluss, Brennweite, ISO-Wert in Zusammenhang stehen, um überhaupt irgendwelche brauchbaren Fotos hinzubekommen.

Das ist heute alles viel einfacher geworden, so dass mein Interesse mittlerweile auch bildgestalterischen und motivischen Aspekten gilt. :-)

 

Trotzdem bleibt die Fotografie für mich ein Hobby, dem leider nur begrenzte Zeit zur Verfügung steht.

 

Macht nichts, der Weg ist mein Ziel.

 

Ich finde es wundervoll in einer Community wie dieser, die Gelegenheit zu haben, die Welt auch mit anderen Augen zu sehen, mit den Augen jedes einzelnen von Euch.
