As I look back over the 365+1 day project, I am reminded of the amazingly diverse moods & images Janine is able to capture. They have so much more resonance than the slick 'perfectly' shot pictures of some photographers. She has the soul of a poet & the eye of an artist & is generous to a fault. This is long over due as I've been following Janine's photo stream almost from my 1st day on Flickr. I've visited thousands of photo streams during the last 2 years and In my opinion she is as artistic, creative and innovative as anyone in Flickr. Additionally, when you consider the equipment she has used to create her art, you can only ask yourself, how does she do it? If there ever was a testimonial to the fact you don't need expensive equipment to create photo poetry, then you have come to the right place.

Look up prolific in the dictionary and there's a picture of Janine - probably a picture of her blurred, in silhouette (most likely just the feet though). I'm never on the Flickr ball enough to catch everything she posts but the most amazing thing is that everything is so creative and artistic, there's always a fantastic surprise of an image waiting for us lucky nosers. Are you able to explain how it feels when you are walking in a empty street at night and then suddenly starts to rain softly, the moon still smiling behind the clouds, and your heart seems light as every single crystal drop? Or when you sit on a bench looking at the ocean and a fleet of chatterbox seagulls are playing with the wind and you surprise yourself smiling without control? Or when the life shows you the endless ways of being, the revelation arrive fluttering on fairy wings and you can not stop to cry just because you're too happy, too sad, too alive? I am not. But fortunately Janine does. And her amazing human being is streaming out of everyone of her photos... that's one of the many reasons why I feel incredibly lucky to be part of her world.

She has a style of her own that is artistic, very technically skilled, and always thought-provoking. Through her images she conveys every emotion…I can find myself smiling or on the verge of tears as I view her wonderful shots, but I am always wiser by seeing through her eyes. She is also one of the sweetest people in the world. She is quick with heartfelt comments, and generously gives sincere attention to her lucky contacts.
