Hi,

I am not using Flickr anymore, it served me well during several years, but somehow things moved on. I now learned, that Flickr will not hold more than 1000 images as free account, I had 2700 something - unfortunately I did use Flickr for hosting images for personal and group blogs - a common practice back in those days. To some of those platforms I do not have access any more - which means, even if I would take the time, to reload images that were on Flickr, I could not do. If Flickr removes them, those posts are destroyed. This is shit. I try to remove newer images (I did not use Flickr as host for stuff since 2013), but still there are too many and I am not willing to pay 50E/year just for a hosting old stuff. So - internet is not eternal, I did write and depict stuff, that I might still like, but do not have resource to keep. Lesson learned - do not use proprietary platforms for stuff you like enough to maybe want to keep. Not Flickr, not Facebook, not Insta, not blogger. Self Host and Open Source does not solve everything, but it gives you options.
