Taking photos since 1982 as a hobby.

For me, photography is a way to relax, sometimes I am documentary, sometimes artistic. In the end, a photo has to have an aesthetic, it has to transport the aesthetics of the moment, then it is also a "picture" for me.

I'm not particularly fixed on a theme, but I'm mainly interested in landscapes, wide-angle shots, urban spaces, architecture with its geometric aesthetics, transportation (in particular aviation) and last but not least rescue vehicles, what belongs to my profession as an emergency doctor.

Some of the photos are of the 'analog era'. They were taken either with Canon AE-1, A1 or Nikon F80.

Analog to digital conversion was made with Minolta Dimage Scan dual II, Software Vuescan.

Different cameras (even smartphones), different objectives. If I'm satisfied with a smartphone photo, I'm uploading it to the mini screen of Instagram from time to time.

Ich fotografiere hobbymäßig seit 1982.

Für mich ist die Fotografie ein Weg zur Entspannung, dabei bin ich manchmal dokumentarisch, manchmal künstlerisch unterwegs. Am Ende muss ein Foto eine Ästhetik besitzen, es muss die Ästhetik des Augenblicks transportieren, dann ist es für mich auch ein "Bild."

Ich bin nicht besonders festgelegt auf ein Thema, hauptsächlich interessieren mich aber Landschaften, Weitwinkelaufnahmen, urbane Räume, Architektur mit ihrer geometrischen Ästhetik, alle Formen des Transports, hier aber besonders die Luftfahrt. Und zu guter Letzt natürlich Rettungsfahrzeuge aller Art, was irgendwie mit meinem Beruf als Notarzt zusammenhängen muss.

Einige Fotos sind aus der analogen Zeit. Sie wurden aufgenommen mit Canon AE-1, A-1 und Nikon F80.

Für die Digitalisierung der analogen Bilder benutze ich immer noch meinen alten Minolta Dimage Scan Dual II und die Software "Vuescan".

Nach dem Umsstieg auf digital kamen verschiedene Kameras zum Einsatz, auch mal ein Smartphone. Gelungene Smartphonebilder lade ich auch mal im "Mäusekino" Instagram hoch.
