I'm pretty new to Flickr, and I'm kinda bad at updating. I'm one of those "I take pictures, but wait forever to upload them" kind of people. Most of the time I'm not trying to take artistic or photography-worthy pictures, I'm just out to take something fun, a snapshot of my life at that moment. I also hate self-portraits, because I don't think mine ever come out right, so I much rather take pictures of other people and stuff.

I'm a bit of a newbie to photography, but I've always had a love for taking pictures. And after all, isn't that what photography really is, taking pictures? Sometimes I think the term "photography" sounds a bit too professional. I think taking pictures sounds more personal, and that's what the whole "taking pictures" idea is about. I've taken one analog/b&w photography class in school, but everything else is all me.

Right now I just have a digital point-and-shoot, but it does take some pretty good pictures. I just got a Sony Cyber-shot, which I'm just learning to use. I have a SLR, but its film. I'm hoping to get a negative scanner soon and then later a DSLR.
