WCM Events Limited formed as a start up company in January 2009, however our history goes back to 2005, when operating under the name Rogue Events we assisted with a one day show in Clacton and sponsored various guests for other conventions in the UK. In 2006 we held our first convention called Insurgence and based it on the TV Show Smallville. For a small convention we had very good feedback and a review and photos published in the Official US Smallville Magazine.

In 2007 we launched Asylum, a Supernatural and Smallville Convention, which was held in Coventry and was hugely popular with over 700 delegates attending. By our third show we needed a bigger venue to handle all the ticket requests, it was also obvious that the show was mainly known for Supernatural therefore for Asylum 2 we focused just on guest stars from the TV series Supernatural. This was held in May 2008 with delegates from over 20 different countries attending. It was held at the Hilton Metropole hotel in Birmingham with over 1000 delegates in attendance.

2009 saw our busiest year yet, with two conventions and a signing session organized: Asylum 3 was a sold out event with 1400 delegates, it took place at the Hilton Hotel within the NEC grounds in Birmingham at the end of May, In October Hell Hounds took place, a smaller event for around 200 delegates over the Halloween weekend. In November three guests appeared at the Memorabilia fair held in the NEC in Birmingham. One of the UK's biggest collectors fairs.

Looking forward to 2010/11 we have a number of events planned including Supernatural conventions in the UK and Germany, a Smallville and Vampire Diaries convention in London and a Doctor Who convention in York. We have a number of new DVD releases to come out featuring highlights from previous conventions and we will continue to expand our online presence.
