I’ve spent two decades as a graphic designer, creative director, and writer taking apart complex topics and putting them back together in words and images that anyone can understand.

I am passionately in love with my wife. Together, we’ve built a family that includes 5 great children -- 3 of whom have now grown up and moved out -- and a menagerie that currently includes 2 dogs and 8 cats.

I've been drawing as long as I can remember. It's so ingrained as a habit that my wife started calling me "Sketch," when we were dating. In fact, my band is even called The Sketch Band .

I draw so that I can see. (I explain this a bit better on my blog.)

I also love playing my guitar, studying architecture, cycling along the California coast, cooking with fresh herbs, and walking my rottweiler at night.
