Following redundancy in 1991 my wife and I worked together as freelance photographers for about 10 years, followed by several years teaching photography. Now retired, I am enjoying the opportunity to put theory into practice.

My photography is heavily influenced by two ideas, firstly that good photographs are made, not taken, and secondly that what comes out of the camera is only an intermediate stage requiring editing and interpretation.

I am also a member of Phoenix Railway Photographic Circle.
