Photography is more than just a hobby for me — it’s a lens through which I explore the world’s beauty, seeking the harmony between light, form, and emotion. My fascination with capturing landscapes, nature, urban scenes, and portraits allows me to connect aesthetic sensibility with human experience.

Professionally, I am a psychologist, with a Master’s in Cognitive Psychology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and a PhD in Social Psychology from the State University of Rio de Janeiro. I am proud to have served as a Full Professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, now enjoying retirement while remaining deeply connected to research.

Over the years, I’ve collaborated with prestigious institutions such as Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland, and worked as a Collaborating Investigator at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (USA).

Currently, I coordinate research projects focused on Positive Psychology and Emotional Intelligence, seeking to deepen our understanding of human well-being and resilience.

Photography complements my scientific endeavors — both strive to capture the essence of what it means to be human, whether through an image or an insight.
