Photographer in the UK Midlands, picking up a camera again properly for the first time in years, having recently been inspired by street photographers including Alan Schaller, Sean Tucker, Joshua K. Jackson and Phil Penman. And all of this came about after I had to upgrade my iPhone and started to fall back in love with taking pics with the new model's much improved camera... and then thinking "perhaps I should get my old Nikon gear out of storage" (I'd really fallen out of love with the process, and particularly with editing).

In my "previous life" as a newspaper internet editor I ran a music photography website as a sideline, and for about five years I was reviewing and photographing bands (among them Rush, Queen + Paul Rogers, Kiss, Judas Priest, Journey, Styx, Foreigner, Status Quo and Metallica, and had the pleasure of standing at the side of the stage three times to watch Deep Purple perform in front of thousands of fans... on one occasion singer Ian Gillan even brought over ice cold beers for us during an instrumental solo!
