Bird nerd, nature addict, adventures with my soulmate in AZ, sharing my amateur hobby photography via my Canon Powershot SX50 HS bridge camera. I'm learning all I can on my own in hopes of taking excellent photos and am inspired by my friends and the wonderful Flickr community!

Longer version... I'm in love with all of nature and happily became an official birder the beginning of 2015. However, I was a backyard birder for over 3 years prior - until hubby got bit by the love bird at the Hassayampa River Preserve when he saw and heard a Red-winged Blackbird for the first time. It was love at first sight (happy dance). Now instead of just hiking and watching birds at home, we bird in nature as well, and plan most of our adventures around birding. We then started our Life List, journals, bought better binoculars, have several birding books (and counting), etc. And I'm saving for a DSLR.

Besides my love of birds and nature, I love taking photos. I'm trying my very best with my bridge camera, but obviously I'm not a professional - this is my hobby as I'm an artisan by day and work from my home studio... while watching and listening to all the birds outside my window at all the feeders.

Most of my photos are nature related, but there's much more to life so I'll share a little of this and that too. Oh and you can also find me on Instagram @rockiadams
