I call myself a photographer, for no particularly good reason. I'm a visual artist first and foremost - I work with a lot of different media. I'm still relearning my photography technical chops now that I have a DSLR and have to worry about things like f-stops and shutter speeds again. I've also attempted to get in to lomography/lo-fi photography.

My other art is located here.

I welcome comments and criticism (and now that I've set it up, I'll actually answer) - have fun looking.

About the photos:

So far at least, 99% digital (the exceptions are the scans of the photos from the Hoover Dam tour, taken with a crappy point & shoot 35mm, the shots from the Scotland trip and the concours even in Fresno), mostly very slightly modified. The cameras I've used for the photos here are:

Olympus C700UZ almost SLR-ish cam

Panasonic DMC-FZ1 (ditto)

Sipix übercheesy VGA keychain cam

Samsung Digimax 240 (semi-cheesy - got some good shots with it, though).

Motorola RAZR cellphone cam (VGA, cheesy as hell).

Treo 680 cellphone cam (also VGA, also hideous)

iPhone 3G cellphone cam (2.1MP, but still cheesy)

iPhone 4 cellphone cam (actually pretty decent).

iPhone 6 cellphone cam )actually a very decent camera)

Casio Exilim EX-Z70 (a decent digital P&S that I no longer have).

Canon Digital Rebel XT (an old, but very good starter DSLR).

Sony NEX5 (my high-end camera).

I also have a non-op Hero GoPro, and a working, but kinda squank Vivitar ActionCam.
