Everything started in 1979 when I got my first camera on my 8th birthday. A cheap Kodak Instamatic camera using the 126 film cartridges. I'm far away from being a professional photographer. When I was in school, I was dreaming about having a career like Helmut Newton when I bought my first SLR (a Minolta X300s). Finished with school I applied for an apprenticeship as a photographer in several studios around my place but I didn't get it. Many years later, working as one of these IT guys, I rediscovered my passion for photography....

Alles began im Jahr 1979 als ich zu meinem 8. Geburtstag meine erste Kamera bekam: eine billige Kodak Instamatic mit 126er Filmkassetten. Ich bin weit davon entfernt ein Profi-Fotograf zu sein. Während meiner Schulzeit träumte ich von einer Karriere wie Helmut Newton als ich meine erste Spiegelreflex kaufte (eine Minolta X300s). Als ich die Schule abgeschlossen hatte, bewarb ich mich bei den Fotostudios in meiner nähren Umgebung um eine Lehrstelle als Fotograf, die ich aber nicht bekam. Viele Jahre später, inzwischen einer dieser IT-Fachleute, habe ich meine Leidenschaft für die Fotografie wieder entdeckt.
