I have always been a very visual person. If you want me to understand something, please show me rather than tell me. To get from point A to point B, I need a map, I'm sure to get lost if you give me directions. Since I was a little kid, I knew my career would be in the visual arts and that is the path I have followed all of my life. Although I have made my living as a graphic designer for the past thirty-some-odd years, photography has been my passion. It started when I got my first camera, a Kodak Instamatic, complete with film cartridges and flashcubes. Each frame on every roll of film was a precious opportunity, not to be wasted. I would send the film off to a lab and wait anxiously by the mailbox, anticipating the magic that would appear there days, even weeks later when I finally received my prints. Now, in the digital age, I love the freedom to click away 'til my heart's content. I run to my computer anxious to see the magic almost instantly. Often, downloading images is just the beginning, I love post-processing my photos as much, maybe more than shooting them. I hope you enjoy the images on my photostream. As a Flickr member, one of my goals is to grow as a photographer, so I would appreciate any comments, feedback, constructive criticism or advice you can offer. Thanks.
