I own a camera and take pictures. I describe a photographer as one that can take a great shot on demand. I am certainly not that!
I am working on using a camera to capture scenes, people, and objects that I like. I also like using software to enhance my photos to something that makes me smile.
All of my life I have used my eyes to make sure things were straight, aligned and in perfect order. Photography is teaching me to do otherwise to make my shots more interesting and visually stimulating.
I spend a lot of time on Flickr and other photography sites looking at and admiring the works of others in order to learn how to improve my "vision" and stimulate the creative juices.
