Thank you for stopping by. I hope you like what you see here.

I am amazed, inspired and challenged by the incredible talent and dedication of many of the members of Flickr. For me, photography was a required first-semester course when I started the Museum Technology Program at Algonquin College in 1972. It just got out of control. I don't have a style or a subject - I resond to what is in front of me at the moment.

I enjoyed photography as a profession for twenty-five years and left in 1997. I'm getting my "eye" back. So, on this photostream, you will see everything from abstracts, architecture, illustration, street photography, people photos, social commentary and God-knows-what else.

"Everyone must believe in something, I believe I'll go canoing."

Henry David Thoreau

"The shortest distance between two points is not the point."

I am an ORCKA and Paddle Canada canoe tripping instructor, one more of those things that just got out of control!

As afterthoughts, I am a traveler, gastronome, amateur sommelier. I used to be a professional Web application developer [nothing on the scale of Flickr] and retired from that in February 2010. I like just about all kinds of music. I sing background vocals and play backup guitar. I support my local theater and IMNSHO, Ontario's best provincial park.

Oh, and I'm a new grandfather.
