My photography is a personal journey and closely tied to my identity. I make pictures for myself, mostly, to understand my place in the world. To organize thoughts and feelings around my connection to people, time & space. I use photography to gain some sort of understanding. I want to express visual insight, be part of a dialogue. I want to say something, even if it doesn't make sense. A self-taught photographer, I am not particularly knowledgeable on the technical parts of photography; I don't have a huge interest in it. I am a storyteller. My goal is to cultivate and grow, stretch the capacity to tell my story, as well as others’ using photography as a tool. My goal is to not be satisfied with or view a project as done. I want to explore and learn. I want to build narratives. I want to continue to foster energy in connection, and nurture the curious and creative part of me.
