I was born in 1962 and am one of seven children. I left school in 1979 and applied to the Victorian Railways for a position of Loco Driver however I failed the colour test for reading signals and had my hopes for a railway career dashed.

Quiet type of person, got married in 2007 and work for my wife's home based business.

Started photography in 1976 with a Kodak 126 camera before progressing to various 135mm film cameras.

Am currently using a Canon digital SLR and a Pentax digital SLR as well as several different compact digital cameras.

Don't claim to be a brilliant photographer however I am slowly mastering the new digital age. Still have a long way to go.

A major operation on my spine in March 2011 and again in October 2012 has now limited my travels away from home and most of my photography now will be around my home or the nearby countryside.

The two spinal operations have not been as successful as I had hoped and my condition now means I am not as mobile as I once was.

I will still undertake the occasional railway photograph but will now concentrate on photographing our beautiful cats.
