Where do I begin with a testimonial for Tony? Do I begin with his wonderful talent for photography? Or, do I begin with his kind spirit, generous personality, and strong friendship? It's hard to know where to begin, as these things equally make Tony the wonderful person that he is. I realize that Flickr is a photography site, so I should focus on his photography skills (which are awesome, by the way), but I can't help but also focus on what a truly genuine and kind friend he is. When you look at his photos, they speak for themselves and show the talent he has, whether it be capturing the beauty of the world around him or documenting the harsh and cruel realities of Alzheimer's Disease. There's no doubt that he's talented. There's also no doubt that if you get to know him, you will be thankful you did, as he becomes a friend who never passes up a chance to make his flickr friends feel good about themselves and their work, regardless of what struggles he may have going on in his own life. His wide-ranging portfolio clearly shows his excellent eye for composition and detail. His soul-bearing series portraying the demise of his beloved Mum to the curse of Altzheimer's is so powerful and emotive, yet so beautiful and dignified. This type of cutting edge photography demands a very exceptional talent which Tony is very fortunate to possess and which many of us can only dream of. Tony is one of my most respected contacts, one of perhaps a dozen people who really embrace the spirit of Flickr. Some of his photos especially the ones dealing with Altzheimers are very personal and touching, his skill and thought are very evident. His portfolio is very varied and the quality of his photography far exceeds his own opinion, but we are all our own worst critics, there is however a great talent here. it is uncanny how we are very much alike in a lot of ways something that we have touched on in comments and correspondence. I admire Tony's ambition and stamina, every shot has his dedication, and the visual quality which it deserves and as a result, it is always second to none. Tony is one of my most valuable contacts, because of his willingness to share ideas and criticize my images, and probably the one to helped me to slow down and think more carefully about what I'm doing both in editing and shooting. I also admire Tony's thinking, he has a way of making everything that seems complicated simple - and can find a solution to a problem in next to no time.
