I believe the best art requires attention to the world and inner self before the art can be made. I'm an artist, educator, woman and traveler. It's important to me that my art have a socially minded purpose, be both intimate and public, and respect the history and challenges of high craftsmanship. An artist should always push the boundaries of content, materials and ideas. That is what makes artists explorers. The artist asks "what if?" and the engineer asks " how to?" Asking "what if?" is my goal.
