I am a dendrochronologist specializing mainly in applications of tree-ring research to forest and fire ecology. My research website is at rmtrr.org. As for my photography, I shoot almost exclusively landscapes and natural still-life images, and am completely addicted to shooting HDRs for their vibrancy, range of light, and color saturation. I also like to shoot panoramas; I started shooting them mainly to document forest conditions but moved on to shooting them for all sorts of landscapes. I have been a photographer since high school, when I was Photo Editor of my high school yearbooks (Cholla High School in Tucson) for both my junior and senior years.
