I picked up my first SLR camera in 2011 - a Fuji FinePix S3Pro. It took me a while to jump into using it, but I am gradually getting a feel for what it can do.

My goal in photography is to take better quality photos of my life and interests so that my personal photo albums can be something I am proud of and tell my story.

I use Picasa3 to edit my photos but try to limit this as I'm going for organic results! My next challenge will be filters to improve my landscapes, particularly to reduce the glare from white skies.
