Zoologist (in my twenties) turned molecular biologist (for the next 40 odd years). Moved to digital photography in 2009. Retired in 2024. My goal is to improve and meet the standards set by the multitude of excellent photographers I found on flicker (see samples in my favorites).

I photograped wildlife with hand-held equipment or mono/tripod and for most of the shots without a blind, bate, or setup. Most often I use Nikon 600 f4E and the 1.4TCIII for my wildlife shots. I now realized I use this account both as a photo blog (to keep tabs on my birding lifers, etc') and as display of high quality images. That is why you will find uneven product quality across the range.

Finally...apologies for my horrendous spelling at times- dyslexia and inattention get the better of me sometimes. I edit when I catch it (or when others do 😂😂)
