I'm a journalism professor at San Francisco State University, where I teach writing, reporting and multimedia courses and advise the student newspaper, Golden Gate [X]press. I am also executive director of the Institute for Education in International Media, which runs media study-abroad programs. In the summer of 2010, I directed The Perpignan Projecta four-week multimedia program in Perpignan France. In 2009, I directed The Urbino Project in Urbino, Italy.
