I started into photography back in the 80s and I still have my Pentax ME Super along with a Canonet, Polaroid SX-70 and Nikon 6006. I'll photograph anything of interest but typically patterns and textures are what catches my eye. I love nature so landscapes are common themes. However, I love architectural and urbex photography as well and that's where I'm more inclined to use black and white.
I would classify myself as still very much a student of the craft. I've had a few paying jobs and have had some work published. Most recently, I won a photocontest of National Geographic Traveler magazine with one of my North Point images. I've also had a photos in Outdoor Photographer magazine and several local magazines about Milwaukee. I feel like I have a long way to go. My perspective is that this photography thing is a sustainable journey anyway.
