I am a nonfiction writer, novelist and playwright. Grew up in Hannibal, MO. No, never met him personally. But I published a biography of him in 2005, and lately my two-act play, SAM AND LAURA, is making the rounds. It's based on a true and tender romance between the young Sam Clemens and an even younger girl in 1858, and its lifelong hold on bot of them, in memory and especially in their dreams.

Photography is my hobby. I live now in Vermont, where you not only don't have to be good--you hardly even have to aim.
