Hi, I’ve loved photography since I was a kid, my Praktica MTL3 did me proud for years, wish I still had it! Later cameras put me off, Olympus OM2sp was unreliable and my first Nikon, the F70, never produced images as sharp as that Praktica.

I have a collection of 35mm cameras, mainly SLRs, but as lovely as they are I don’t use them, the advantages of digital just overwhelm – have to say that ‘sharpness’ issue comes up again though, Nikon’s D60 and D80 never fully convince me, I’m wondering if it’s plastic elements in the lenses that makes the difference?!

This is far and away my favourite website; the creativity, imagination and talent of those who contribute inspire me to keep trying.
