Photographer since early teens. Father got me cameras, grandfather gave me darkroom equipment. Sold my first photo while in high school and also produced short films. Next stop was the Rochester Institute of Technology. From there freelancing in upstate New York and Tucson, Arizona. I had no specific niche and covered everything from sports to wildlife, theater, landscape, adventure, portraits and underwater. All on black and white film and slides. After moving to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, I shot for a variety of publications covering politics and city life. While doing this I successfully branched into outdoor publications and expanded my range of underwater photography. This led to an offer to be on the editorial staff of a national conservation magazine in Bend, Oregon. An offer hard to refuse. That position allowed me to travel and photograph in locations across North America. Still in spectacular Oregon shooting for publications, websites, events and promotions. All digital now and delighted that cameras can capture stunning still images and remarkable video in the same body.
