I bought my first DSLR in 2009, mainly because I assumed that it would take better pictures than the compact camera I was using. Little did I realise the learning curve that was ahead of me! After spending a year with my camera in automatic mode I decided to take the plunge and attend evening classes to learn more about my camera and the fundamentals of photography, culminating in achieving a City and Guilds qualification in 2010.

I live in South London, close to South Norwood Country Park , so am able to spend time there photographing wildlife, and I also enjoy street photography, portraits and landscapes.

I use a Canon 50d and 400d, and my wildlife lens is a Sigma 150-500mm. For street photography I use a Sigma 18-200mm and for portraits a Canon 17-85mm.

Please feel free to add me to your contact list and I will do the same - I do try to look at every picture that appears in my contact stream. I welcome all comments on my pictures, good or bad, and I will comment on pictures that I see and like.
