The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art preserves and enhances the legacy of John and Mable Ringling and engages a large and diverse audience through its Museum of Art, Circus Museum, Ca d' Zan Mansion, Asolo Theater, and historic grounds overlooking Sarasota Bay. The Museum is a division of Florida State University and is the Official State Art Museum of Florida.

The use of photography (cameras, video equipment) is permitted without a flash indoors, and freely outdoors. However, photography is prohibited in Special Exhibitions. Tripods and monopods are not permitted.
