Mijn Schatje traced a number of original artworks, embellished them and sold them at art galleries and to video game and clothing manufacturers as her originals. When confonted by members of the international art community, she lied about the existence of the copied artworks and then later changed her story when the copyright owners provided visual proof of her wrongdoing. This ongoing controversy now involves individuals and international companies and has forever ruined Mijn Schatje's credibility, reputation and artistic integrity.
