Hello everyone!

My friends call me Rick. = ) My interest in photography started when I was a child. My dad used to subscribe to Popular Photography and I enjoyed looking at the monthly Your Best Shot contest. Thoughout middle school, high school, and college, I admired a great deal of landscape, fashion, wildlife, and sports photography, but I rarely took photos myself except during vacations. It was not until August 2008 that I decided to take up photography as a hobby. Since then, I have developed a tremendous passion for photography and I am constantly challenging myself to improve. To this point, my photographic emphases have been wildlife and zoo photography. However, my photographic interests are broad, and I would like to do much more with other areas such as fashion/portrait, macro, landscape, sports, and travel photography. Photography has given me great inspiration and joy; in turn, I hope that I can spread some of that enjoyment to you through my images.
