I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. I currently study at the University of Waterloo and am an undergraduate in the field of Software Engineering.
I discovered photography while acting as the editor-in-chief for my high school's yearbook committee. I began experimenting with a Canon G3 and Canon S400 before purchasing my own DSLR, a Canon 300D / Digital Rebel. Since then I've owned a Canon SD400 and a Canon SD870IS.
Currently I shoot with a Canon SD870IS for candid snaps and the Canon 300D with a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 prime, as well as the Canon EF-s 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 ultra-wide. I ditched the 18-55mm kit lens a long time ago due to its slow aperture, but I miss the versatile range and reach that a normal zoom lens affords.
In my spare time, I enjoy blogging (I always have an opinion on something and am not afraid in sharing it), photography, people-watching, web design, print design, and rediscovering nature. By rediscovering nature, I mean hiking and biking through the wilderness, something as a child I seriously could not stand.
