I would not have picked up photography without my first digital camera - Fujifilm FinePix 1400, which had a 1.3 mega-pixel CCD and 3x optical zoom. Despite its brick-like weight (courtesy of its four AA batteries), I was quite proud of it, plus I was one of the few who had a digital camera at school back then. I experimented with landscape, skateboarding and portrait photography, and over time photography quietly become part of my life.
I currently write for Engadget, but am also proud to have been Technology Editor for felix (Imperial College London) - Guardian Student Newspaper of the Year 2006, 2008.
