Richard Ellis is a three time Pulitzer Prize nominated photographer who was Chief Photographer for Reuters based in Hong Kong, New Delhi, Beijing, Moscow and London from 1985-1994. From 1994-1999 he was the Sygma White House Photographer and creator Newsmakers. The first online news photo company in 1995. Newsmakers was acquired by Getty Images in 1999 and Richard Ellis became the head of News and Entertainment for Getty creating their global editorial operations which today is the world's largest. Richard Ellis went on to become the Senior Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for Getty Images until 2007. He now lives and works as a photographer in Charleston, SC.
