Hello everyone!

My name is Richard Matchett and I am a 14-year-old boy from WIndsor, Ontario. i enjoy music, photography, and just being outside. I play all the saxophones (right now baritone), clarinet, french horn, and the piano. I am involved in jazz band playing the sax and concert playing french horn. We will be competing at the nationals in Toronto and I am so stoked! I am a very honest person and loving just being me and I love having the freedom to live my life.

 

I am a child of God!! My faith has had quite a journey and I think God has brought me closer to him through tragedy. When I was 5 my parents divorced and I wasn't happy with Him but I soon realized that Roman-Catholic church can be fun through visiting a youth-oriented Church. But I wasn't getting enough so me, my mom, and my brother moved to a Christian Alliance Church. I found out God was an amazing creator and I love Him more than anything.

 

Second to God (lol), is my pictures. i started photography last February when I moved into my new house. I had needed a new way to express myself and I have! thanks to my neighbour, friend, and fellow photographer Gordana (www.flickr.com/people/ajawin) and my mom (www.flickr.com/people/musiclovingmichelle/). I love it and will soon be aquiring 2 35-mm cameras (one's a Minolta from the late-70's!) from my Uncle Paul. Did I mention I love vintage things!
