My main way to waste time, is scuba diving. I teach wherever I'm asked and run my company, Wreck and Cave, in as disorganised a fashion as I can manage. I only teach for Global Underwater Explorers (see www.gue.com) as the curriculum, ethos and the passion for diving is as good as it gets.

Before doing that, I worked as an academic and researched the physics of blood flow in the heart. This I did for nearly 20 years until the call of the ocean got the better of me!
