As Poet:

[My poems] are a stream of consciousness narrative, exploring the relationship between the text and the arrangment of words and spaces on the page. An important role being the sound of the words, as well as their meaning.

 

As music composer:

I'll go on writing motives . One of these days a producer will go into his office and say to his secretary, 'Is there a score from John Williams this morning? and when she says 'No,' he will say, 'Well, then we'll have to start on the rubbish.' And that's my chance!

 

After all, all I do is string together a lot of old, well-known pitches!

 

As visual artist:

 

I had to find some special occupation, some kind of work that would not force me to turn away from the qualia of things, that would allow me to discover the ineffable, intrinsic, private, and immediatly apprehensible life.

 

In conclusion, a living is not something you make - its something you do.
