This summer a group of seven men and one woman took part in the first ever GORE-TEX® Arctic Challenge. The team traveled from Scotland to the Arctic Circle in tiny, six metre, Suzuki powered Humber RIBs (Rigid Inflatable Boats) in an intrepid adventure pushing both the team and their equipment to the limit.
The challenge which was the brain-child of team leader Hugo Montgomery-Swan, was made possible by the marketing communications agency Carswell Gould (CG) who organized, promoted and documented the entire journey. Creative director and challenge crew member, Ed Gould provided regular updates on the dedicated website, daily videos, as well as regular tweets.
The CG team, stationed in their offices at the heart of Southampton, worked with the challenge crew on a successful integrated marketing campaign which resulted in wide scale online, radio, television and print coverage of the challenge. To find out more about the campaign here: bit.ly/qLLhq1
