I am a New Zealander now living in Australia. I make frequent trips to the US to feed my fascination with American steam power. My interest exploded when I first encountered Union Pacific Big Boy #4017 at the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay, WI. To be honest, I was so overawed, I just about wet my pants! Since then, I have taken tens of thousands of photos of steam locomotives, as well as a few diesels, electric units and maintenance of way equipment in the continental US, which I have published on my website www.rgusrail.com. I update my site roughly every 3 months, when I also publish one specially chosen photo here on Flickr from each of the new pages.
