NOVEMBER 2010
I just read from August 2009 below and snickered. Mom passed away in November 2009, eight months after dad. Paul's father was diagnosed with lymphoma in February 2010; we had to say good-bye to our beloved cat, Tribble, in April 2010. And we said good-bye to Paul's father last month, September 17.
To say the past couple years have been filled with loss would be an understatement. My eyes fill with tears now as the grip on my heart tightens. But nothing, NOTHING, compares to the love of the Lord Jesus Christ in my life. Through all the valleys of the shadow of death, and the darkness that ensues, He has been my Light and my Redeemer, my strength and fortress. "Rejoice not against me, O my enemy. For when I fall, I shall arise, and when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me." Micah 7:8.
I have been a lousy Flickr friend and continue to struggle not just with keeping up, but with photography as a whole. My heart has just been elsewhere. "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning." Psalm 30:5b
Thanks again, to my faithful Flickr friends who have hung out with me despite my absence. Your kindnesses have lifted me and brought me great joy. God bless you, and here's to a bright and hopeful future.
AUGUST 2009
Wow. Three years on Flickr. I'm still not a professional and still don't pretend to be. :)
This past year has been difficult with my father's illness and passing. I'm not the best contact in the world, of late. But I do my best. I appreciate those who have hung with me through the really tough times and hope I can be that type of friend for you as well.
If you fave a photo or make me a contact and you have no profile information or photos to share with me, I will block you. Not playing that game. Please don't use my photos without my permission.
Until next August.....
