NOTE: If you are going to "fave" one of my shots ... please at least leave a comment ... Thank you.

"Wet darkroom" 35mm and medium format guy, long time and "serious amateur" easing into digital. Seeing what kind of results I can get with a nice little point 'n shoot, Canon A570 IS with some spiffy creative controls for the size and price.

Would appreciate comments on the pics or any suggestions or pitfalls for digital photography.

Looking ahead, if this seems the media I want to work with, I want to set up a full blown digital darkroom. Will miss the wet darkroom though. Next purchase is some reasonably good photo editing software.

Jack Nicholson has been mistaken for me for years although I'm considerably younger. Jack and I share a similar laid back, casual, "what-you-see-is-what-you-get" outlook on life. I taught him all he knows ... he got started late. I got started 2nd year of high school with the quite fetching Deborah . . . that's another story. It lasted 6 years. She ran off to Egypt with an Egyptian agricultural graduate student . .. we went to different universities. She came back a year later. I had moved on by then to the first of my "trips" through graduate school. I'm an incessant "learner".

I take a camera with me everywhere. I mean everywhere. Well, maybe not EVERYWHERE. I feel naked without one. Although I've been naked with one. Which is another story too..

I'm semi-retired clergy . . . not very "retired". Not a Bible-thumper by any means. My denomination is "progressive." "God is Still Speaking" has been their very successful ad. I'm proud of my denomination's record on social justice and inclusiveness.

I like life and love to immerse myself in it. My photostream is eclectic, ... which reflects the state of my intellect, heart and soul. I would'nt have it any other way. I have a wicked sense of humor, I'm told. Yes, I do!

Let's see ... my tombstone will read: "Well, he's

FINALLY focused".

Thanks for reading this and for taking time to comment on the photos... drop a line if you care to. I always respond.

Peace . . .

Fritz . . .

WELL! My dear, dear, loving Fritz, has 'fessed up that he's owning up to his eclectic nature on a cyberspace forum. I'm not surprised by his prose, his photos, or that tongue-in-cheek whimsy that we know him for. Fritz, dear--I like some, some are horrid and you know it, but each one bears part of your charm, a touch of your sensual soul, shows your ability to laugh at your foibles, shows a part of reality neglected by many but never by you, and endears you to me and the many who know you and whom you have touched. The gang at Puerto Banus Marina misses their favorite raconteur, his wit and wisdom, and his insightful and sometimes naughty camera . . . and so do I. Love you all over, Gail
