I got interested in Legos after my son had been collecting/playing/assembling them since he was about 3 years old. This is now my 'second-career-hobby' after stamp collecting (since I was in First Grade) and Post Mark Collecting (since about 1990). I love the creativity that Legos can provide. By profession I am a Pastor of a large congregation in NW Indiana, this also a 'second career' after 11 years of Lutheran Elementary teaching and 10 years as a Wastewater Lab Technician.

As you can gather, my favorite soft drink is Diet Dr. Pepper. Hence the Flickr ID!

I've also been introduced to the beautiful world of Uglydolls. The madness, mayhem, and confusion these guys create provide opportunities for a chuckle or two. People turn to the funny pages in the paper for their laughs; Flickrites turn to the Ugly Monday photos for their shot of silliness.

May 2014 Update...

From time to time I receive notices that additional people are 'following me' on Flickr. Do not become upset if I do not respond to receive you as a contact. Like many others, I try to manage my number of contacts to give them fair opportunities to have their photos viewed and critiqued.

June 2016 Update

I continue to enjoy meeting so many talented and wonderful people here on Flickr. Yes, we've had our bouts with that "Bad Panda" that seems to limp around and cause all sorts of trouble, but we lead it back into its cage and move on.

I have also noted some viewers to my photostream have "faved" my photos, but when I check on their photos, they either have none or they have so many contacts that I wonder their motive. Please do not fave my photos and not leave a comment. I will be tempted to block you. I don't need the view counts in this manner. I would rather gain some personal contacts, even if to share only the interest and feedback on photos or ideas. Private message me for other information and I will be pleased to respond.

January 2020 Update

I have had to make the difficult decision to block viewers who do not themselves have any photos to share. I have made attempts to contact through private message, but no response. I hate to do it but I must block those who 'fave' my photos but do not equally share. If you private message me, then I can remove the block or allow you access.

September 2020 Update

I have retired from my full-time position as pastor; but I still continue to serve our Lord and Savior in other various ways. Photography will continue to be part of my daily activities, looking for ways to share God's beauty as well as to expand creativity and share in observing special days throughout the year. We all need a place for 'escape' and Flickr offers a place for viewing other people's photos as well as to gain or share creativity. Thanks again for your visits, comments, faves, and for sharing your photos!
