About my photos:

So I'm sitting in this coffee shop, preparing to send out a resume as part of my never-ending-job-hunt. I tell this friend of mine, "at this point, sending out resumes is my only hobby."

It was at that point that I realized I needed an actual hobby.

I purchased a Nikon D40 to replace my beloved but dying Fujifilm Finepix1400, and to teach myself amateur photography. Come with me on my journey to better pictures!

About me when I'm not taking photos:

Often I drink coffee. Sometimes I need a haircut. Usually I have trouble suspending my disbelief. I think "objective reality" is a myth. I love chili. I have been accused of changing my facial hair more often than most folks change their underwear. I smoke too many Kamel Red Lights. I drink stout beer. I miss people I have never met, and I long to return to places I have never been. I really do, in fact, enjoy long walks and getting lost. I think trying to represent yourself in a block of text has about the same level of effective verisimilitude as a portrait made entirely of macaroni noodles and Elmer's Glue.

Let's go for a walk. We can get coffee on the way.
