I am a mature age student studying at CQUniversity, Bachelor of Learning Mangement Secondary and VET majoring in Hospitality and Home Ec. I am currently in my first year of study and thoroughly enjoying it, although my brain sometimes works faster than the rest of me.

I have two beautiful children ages 17 and 11.

I have worked in the hospitality trade for 13 years, baking trade for 7 1/2 and within the childcare industry on and off for approximately 6 years.

People say I must have rocks in my head for going into secondary teaching, however it felt like a natural progression. I love cooking and my body was failing to perform due to all the heavy lifting so I have decided this path to take me into my latter years.

I figure I have had to teach and deal with trainees and apprentices, not to mention the ups and downs of others in my trade. Surely highschool students can't be that much different.

My future goals are to be the best I can with the skills I have, travel to the destinations I have dreamnt about, and be there for my children.
