I'm just a girl obsessed with the retro-kink and sexploitation aesthetic presented by Richard Perez, on his related websites: # link text and # PermanentObscurity.com. He's seems to tap into the kind of fun retro imagery that I adore -- ranging from vintage kink magazines, so-called sleaze paperbacks from the 1960s, and sexploitation movies that played in Drive-Ins and 42nd Street. Initially, it seems he created these sites in association with his own neo-sexploitation novel, # Permanent Obscurity, which he explains on his website, # PermanentObscurity.com -- but the websites seemed to have taken on a life of their own. The novel, by the way, is excellent -- a kind of modern day re-telling of a "cautionary tale" -- or "girls in trouble" romp -- which was a favorite theme of '60s era sexploitation movies and books. All the images here are from his websites and are re-posted with permission.
