Knowledge Mobilization is Turning Research into Action

We believe that knowledge has a greater impact when it is shared and implemented. ResearchImpact is designed to support the active, two-way exchange of information and expertise between knowledge creators and knowledge users.

York University and the University of Victoria have partnered to develop Canada’s first institutional strategy designed to connect university research in the social sciences and humanities with decision-makers and community organizations across Canada. Services from this strategy will ensure that results help inform decision-making.

At the institutional level, we are developing knowledge mobilization units to connect knowledge creators with knowledge users in fields related to Health & Society.

We will also provide support for decision-makers to become actively engaged in every step of the research cycle, ensuring research is better able to impact policy, programming, and practice.
