I’m Renee - novice photographer, doing it purely for the love of the hobby. I live in Sydney Australia, but I’m originally from Auckland NZ. I took up this hobby a bit more seriously after maxing out the capability of my compact camera, getting some fantastic shots , one that even won first prize in an amateur photography comp (you can check it out at this link www.photoartgallery.com/blog/post/The-Winners-of-the-Aust... - My avatar is Reni). I upgraded to something a bit more serious equipment wise a Cannon EOS – first the 550d (which sadly got stolen) and was then replaced by the 600d.

I have taken up a 365 (or 366 in this case as it’s a leap year!) to really focus more on my hobby. If you view my stream you will notice I like to take portraits, but there will be numerous shots of abstract objects in which I have usually staged as a scene generally to teach me a new technique. I hope at the end of my 366 I can combine several techniques and have also found a good groove for my own style.

I am so inspired by other flickerites work. I spend hour’s favouriting so many great shots. I love being on Flickr and sharing this great hobby with so many other people as passionate as I am.

Outside of photography I l work in Marketing (Brand Management), I like long distance running, playing netball and usually captaining my side, and enjoying good food, sunshine and wine with my nearest and dearest. Bliss!
