I am German by birth and an American citizen by choice. I studied languages and later naturopathy. Photography was always at the back of my mind, but for a long time was limited to family and vacation photos. 5 years ago, in 2016 I finally decided I really wanted to shoot wildlife and birds in particular. So that is when I started on a journey that has become the passion of my life. I live in Texas, a really good place for bird photography, if you are willing to travel some. But other States have also called my attention, so that I now travel also beyond the boundaries of my State. New Mexico, Colorado and Wyoming are my favorite States to visit so far, and who knows what else is on the horizon.

Since I am fluent in Spanish and lived in Venezuela for 20 years, (no wildlife photography there, alas) I decided to organize small groups for bird and wildlife photography in Costa Rica. I have been doing a tour once a year since 2018.
